wrap the shard in tears from these sad eyes,
these sad eyes that happily saw you,
hold it in these hands,
these gentle hands that tenderly touched you,
and blow it to you with warm breath,
warm breath from these lips that lovingly kissed you,
Please accept my gift,
the gift of my shattered heart,
my tearfilled eyes,
gentle tender hands,
loving lips and breath?
for they all exist only to adore you
and you are there, not here.
Keep it safe for you are its only safe place.
Some day in your presence
my heart might be whole again,
my eyes might twinkle again
with the joyful sight of you,
my hands might touch your lovely face,
my lips might kiss you,
and give me reason to breathe again.
